Can you believe it's already May? This time of year is truly special because it's when we take a moment to appreciate the incredible women who have shaped our lives: our moms. In this newsletter, I wanted to share my thoughts on the importance of Mother's Day and remind us all to cherish the remarkable moms everywhere.
Looking back on my childhood, I remember my mom's constant guidance, always offering valuable advice and life lessons. Mother's Day is the perfect opportunity for us to celebrate and appreciate the love, care, and support that our moms have given us throughout our lives. Sure, we can and should show our gratitude every day, but having a special day dedicated just to them allows us to express our deepest thanks.
So, from the bottom of my heart, I want to wish a Happy Mother's Day to all the incredible moms out there!
You know, make the world go 'round, giving their all in so many ways without expecting anything back. I recently came across this heartwarming story of a determined single mom who juggled two jobs to keep her family afloat while attending night classes to earn her degree. And guess what? Even with her jam-packed schedule, she always carved out time to help her kids with their homework, cheer them on at school events, and provide the emotional support they needed. It's moms like her - full of unwavering love and dedication - that lift up their children and inspire entire communities to rally around each other. They're our real-life superheroes, making the world a brighter and more caring place for everyone.
This Mother's Day, let's make sure we show our love and appreciation to our moms, grandmas, and all the mother figures in our lives, whether we're lucky enough to be with them in person or if we're connecting through phone calls or video chats.
We're also keeping in our thoughts those awesome moms who are by their child's hospital bedside right now.
To support them, we’re giving a portion of our income from to this very worthy cause.
There are kids at CHLA who are trying to beat the Cancer Monster and other nasty debilitating diseases. Children’s is one of the best non-profit hospitals at treating kids, even leading the way in early diagnosis of autism and recovery of spinal cord injury. The Mom’s with kids being treated at Children’s are most likely NOT thinking about their special day this month. They are simply just being “Mom” doing what a real loving Mom does. God bless them for it.
